Weather is so unpredictable today thanks to global warming. Of course, the initial suspects are us humans, that is why we are suffering the consequences as well. You might even say that the weather is having a bad mood swing because one hour it was raining, then suddenly, the sun will show up.

At home, you need to make sure that your house can withstand the changing weather conditions every now and then. For example, for your windows, you need to have window blinds to be able to block unnecessary sunlight coming in from the glass, which might affect the temperature inside.

Why Do You Need Blinds?
Perhaps the first thing that comes to people’s minds when they are going to place something on the window are curtains. Apparently, it has design that can also block the sun. However, blinds are more preferable than curtains in that aspect because unlike curtains, window blinds can withstand wind even if the window is open.

It means that you can still enjoy the air from outside, without worrying about a curtain suddenly slapping your face while relaxing near the window. Aside from that, blinds don’t absorb heat. Curtains are made of fabric and cotton, making it susceptible to heat, especially if it’s dark colored. Also, there are circumstances that the color may fade due to heat.

Blinds are also more reliable than curtains in terms of blocking the light from outside. If you want your room completely dark for watching a movie, having blinds on your windows would make sure that you will be able to see the screen clearly.

That is why if you are still trying to figure what to place on your windows, perhaps you should consider the quality of its function first rather than the design to be able to enjoy the benefits of it.
